Hey guys, I'll try to get a post up tonight. Fair warning: we've got Hurricane Florence potentially knocking on our door Thur-Fri, and we have a bad propensity for power loss during storms, so I may be offline for an undetermined time if it gets windy/hurricane-ish. Just FYI. But I'm prepared - water, food, gas, propane, BEER, and the chainsaw starts up and is ready. (Don't worry, I won't drink and go on a chainsaw rampage. Probably. Maybe not. No promises.)

Awesome. If things get bad down here in the Charlotte area, I can just head up to Raleigh to hang with you. Keep the beers cold!

Come on over! We lose power with a moderate breeze, so barring some last minute change, we'll likely be without power, but NOT without food (and beer!) so I'll do my best to keep it cold for as long as possible. Are you guys shutting down early this week? Our office is closing at end of business tomorrow and opening on MOnday - conditions permitting. I'm hoping that the storm shifts a bit, but no matter which way it goes, it's going to get us pretty good. A couple of my Charlotte friends are heading to West for a spur of the moment vacation. Id' like to do that if we didn't have the kids.... oh well. That's coastal living for you. Good luck in Charlotte.

We aren't shutting down early, or at least we don't have plans to. Similar routine for when we get that dusting of snow each winter: stay home if you don't feel safe (unless you work for facilities, in which case, screw you, get to work, peasant!). We could close on Friday if worst case scenario strikes, but I think that's unlikely. Most likely is power outages, wind and rain. We'll probably get hit less hard than you will in Raleigh due to the storm pattern and its current projected path, but of course it could just plow right through here in which case I might be taking that "spur of the moment vacation".
